SEARCH (South East Anaesthetic Research Chain) is the trainee led research and audit collaborative for trainees in Kent Surrey and Sussex.
“…to give trainees in South East England the opportunity to conduct high quality, trainee-led, multi-centred research and quality improvement projects in Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Pain and Perioperative Medicine across the region, alongside experienced and proactive consultant colleagues for the benefit of patient care…”
- To establish a regional network of doctors training in Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Pain and Perioperative Medicine who wish to conduct multi-centre research and quality improvement projects with a high potential for making an impact in perioperative medicine.
- To allow continuity of involvement in research and quality improvement projects as trainees migrate around the deanery.
- To provide training in research for the educational benefit of SEARCH members.
- To attract funding for research and quality improvement projects
